Transcend Whistleblowing Policy

This policy is for internal and external stakeholders; Senior Officers, Staff, Suppliers, Partners, External Quality Assurers, Recognised Centres, learners and any relevant third party. As a reputable regulated awarding organisation, we pay due regard to all concerns and feedback from all stakeholders. We listen to and act upon any allegations of wrongdoing whilst making certain that staff and stakeholders feel safe when raising concerns. A whistle-blower is a person who exposes any kind of information or activity that is deemed illegal, unethical or not correct within an organisation that is either private or public. Knowledge of poor practice, maladministration or malpractice enables us to take the necessary steps to safeguard the interests of our stakeholders and critically our learners.

It is critical therefore that anyone with such information feels able to make contact with and ‘speak up’ or ‘blow the whistle’. However, we recognise that individuals may be worried by reporting such issues and that they may be subject to adverse action.  This policy is designed to provide all such individuals with information as confirmed within the Public Interest Disclosure Act, the reporting process and the protections in place to protect whistle-blowers
