Quality Policies

Compliance Management

We are committed to maintaining compliance

Transcend Assessment Standards Policy
This policy is for internal and external stakeholders; Senior Officers, Staff, Suppliers, Partners, External Quality Assurers, Recognised Centres, learners and any relevant third party. The policy is associated with authenticated assessment aligned to our regulated provision and serves to ensure the standards of our qualifications are maintained regardless of the learner, assessor, centre and over time.

Risk Management

We are committed to the prevention and mitigation or risk

Transcend Investigations Policy
This policy is for internal and external stakeholders; Senior Officers, Staff, Suppliers, Partners, External Quality Assurers, Recognised Centres, learners and any relevant third party. As part of our standardised and systematic risk management strategy we take all reasonable steps to identify the risk of the occurrence of any incident which could have an adverse effect and put in place controls and contingencies should these occur. The procedures outlined in the policy are therefore initiated upon receipt of any intel which suggests that a conflict, incident or risk event has occurred. This includes intel received as a result of an internal or external moderation intervention, a complaint, a learner appeal against recognised centre decisions, reports of perceived or actual conflicts, suspected cases of maladministration or malpractice, inefficiencies, ineffectiveness, notifications from external parties or any other incident or risk event. This list is not exhaustive but does provide an indication as to the nature and type of intel that we act upon. Ultimately, we will investigate any intel received which poses a threat and which indicates potential or actual adverse effects.

Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continuous performance improvement and a culture of excellence

Transcend Change Management Policy
This policy is for internal and external stakeholders; Senior Officers, Staff, Suppliers, Partners, External Quality Assurers, Recognised Centres, learners and any relevant third party. Transcend is committed to excellence and as a regulated awarding organisation we have a duty to provide fit for purpose and accessible qualifications that meet the needs of our industry and comply with the conditions of our recognition status with the regulator. To support this, we have in place standardised and systematic ways of working in the review of our approaches.

The regulatory conditions require us to keep under review and enhance where necessary our approach to the development, delivery and award of products and assure ourselves that our approach remains at all times appropriate. Each review is risk-based and any risk mitigation result may initiate change to the product or to our approach to the development, delivery and award of products. In these cases, we apply change management techniques through DMAIC analysis upon confirmation that change is required as a risk mitigation intervention. Change to products is considered under the Transcend Product Modification Policy. Changes to our approach to the development, delivery or awarding of products and services are considered here.
